A qui le tour ? En rang serré, quatre personnes regardant dans la même direction, se suivent et avancent. La coupe cubiste de l’écriture en rajoute à la dimension formelle de l’alignement. Le bleu clair du fond de scène, installe une quiétude que renforce la pente douce des lignes du bas de la scène. Les personnages ne sont pas rangés par taille. Le dernier est aussi grand que le premier et le troisième est légèrement plus grand que le second. Le propos de l’artiste se précise : les cohortes d’aînés et de cadets sont régies par une préséance indiscutable. Cet ordonnancement c’est la logique de la vie mais pas celle de la mort. Il n’est pas garanti que nous quitterons le monde dans l’ordre d’arrivée. (…)

Who’s next? In a tight row, four people looking in the same direction, following each other and moving forward. The cubist cut of the writing adds to the formal dimension of the alignment. The light blue of the backdrop of the stage creates a tranquility that is reinforced by the gentle slope of the lines at the bottom of the stage. The characters are not arranged by size. The last one is as tall as the first and the third is slightly taller than the second. The artist’s intention becomes clearer: the cohorts of elders and youngest are governed by an indisputable precedence. This ordering is the logic of life but not that of death. It is not guaranteed that we will leave the world in order of arrival. (…)
