Nada levarei quando morrer, aqueles que me devem cobrarei no inferno remains on view through July 29 at Galpão VB
Opened in April as part of the SP-Arte no Galpão VB project, the exhibition Nada levarei quando morrer,aqueles que me devem cobrarei no inferno, has been extended through July 29. At the closing event, at 3 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to talk with Claudia Andujar, in a debate moderated by the curator Gabriel Bogossian.
Together with the piece by Miguel Rio Branco, the photographer’s work is one of the structuring axes of the exhibition at Galpão VB, which also features the slideshow Catrimani and the photography Casulo humano (rito mortuário Yanomami), as well as the video installation Yano-a (Wakata-ú – Terra Indígena Yanomami), developed by Gisela Motta and Leandro Lima from a photograph by Andujar.
Internationally acclaimed, Andujar’s work is found in collections of the most prestigious museums worldwide, such as New York’s MoMA; Paris’ Maison Européene de la Photographie; and Instituto Inhotim in Brumadinho, Brazil. At the closing event of the exhibition Nada levarei quando morrer, aqueles que me devem cobrarei no inferno, the photographer will discuss her long-lasting relationship with the Yanomamis, as well as lesser-known sides of her work, such as her activity as a photojournalist early in her career.
